The Sargeant family and City & Country are pleased to let you know that following the issue of planning consent at the end of last year, restoration works are well under way at the Priory and positive steps are being taken to secure the future of these irreplaceable buildings and landscape.
It was agreed at the Inquiry that a Business Plan would be produced, which would seek to secure the future of the entire estate. There has since been much consultation, research and additional work to create a new Vision for the Priory that will work towards reducing the Conservation Deficit further, including a visitor attraction and other commercial activities.
We are inviting the local community to come and see the completed works and learn about the new Vision for the Priory that will open the site up to the public and secure its future.
The event will take place on Tuesday 4th July at St Osyth Priory (Mill Street entrance) 3pm - 7pm and provides us with an opportunity to present our plans to you, demonstrate how they have evolved and answer any questions you may have. George Clarke TV's "Restoration Man" and chairman of the St Osyth Priory and Parish Trust will also be in attendance discussing the restoration.
